Size - 6-7 inches long
Habitat - Open woodlands, orchards, and parks.
Nesting - The nest is in a cavity excavated 5-50 feet above the ground in a dead trunk or branch, or in a bird house.
Eggs - 3 to 7, white. Incubation about 12 days, by both parents.
Food - Seeds, berries, and wood-boring insects.

Habitat - Open woodlands, orchards, and parks.
Nesting - The nest is in a cavity excavated 5-50 feet above the ground in a dead trunk or branch, or in a bird house.

Eggs - 3 to 5, white. Incubation about 14 days, by both parents. Leave the nest in 24 to 26 days, and remain with the parents until after fledging.
Food - Insects, fruit, and seeds.

Habitat - Open woodlands, farmlands, orchards, shade trees, and parks.
Nesting - The nest is a cavity excavated 5-70 feet above the ground in a dead trunk, limb, or utility pole.
Eggs - 3 to 5, white. Incubation about 14 days, by both parents. Leave the nest in 24 to 26 days, and remain with the parents until after fledging.
Food - Insects, fruit, and seeds.
